Description
Main Features:
- A super-fast curing high build primer using the latest innovative UV technology
- Offers excellent adhesion to many substrates, including bare steel, aluminium, painted surfaces and most plastics
- Has a curing time of only 60 seconds
- ProXL UV aerosol is ready-to-use and ready-to-sand
- Drying time will be dependant on UV lamp power
Why should I be thinking about UV products?
With energy prices at an all time high, the cost of running a booth to force dry paint is a real concern. Using UV curing refinish coatings, a Bodyshop can achieve –
- Increased production rates
- Reduced production costs
- Improved product performance and quality
- Reduced floor space requirements
- Environmentally friendly
- Reduced waste
- Reduced work in process
- Ability to coat and cure heat sensitive parts and subassemblies
Why use ProXL UV Primer aerosol?
On average a 30 minute bake cycle @60˚C for a primer repair costs up to £50. So what are the alternatives?
- Air drying a 2K primer which takes 60 minutes to dry
- 1K HB aerosols which are very convenient but have a lower build, take at least 10 mins to dry and could shrink
The benefits of using ProXL UV primer aerosol
- Rapid cure of 60 seconds max – no need for booth or other forced drying
- UV curing for an average smart repair ( A4 size ) costs approximately €0.09
- No need for etch primer as it adheres to almost any substrate directly
- Very high build – 3 coats = DFT of 80-100 microns, equivalent to a 2K primer
- Zero shrinkage once UV cured
- Safer than 2K as UV doesn’t contain harmful isocyanates
- Easy to sand
